This past weekend, B/CS Habitat for Humanity celebrated the 2010 Corporate Challenge Wall Raising for Misaundria Ross, her three children, and her grandchild. Corporate Challenge is an annual program that allows local businesses to come together and pool their resources to help make a family’s dream of homeownership a reality.
This year, in its 7th year of Corporate Challenge, Habitat has a number of businesses that are working on the construction of the Ross family’s new home, including Whataburger Restaurant and Texas A&M Sports Properties, whom raised the walls of the home on Saturday, March 27th.
Accompanying Texas A&M Sports Properties were ten of A&M’s finest football players. Seeing A&M football players at the Habitat construction site on Saturday was really exciting because it showed that the team members have heart both on and off of the football field.
Misaundria Ross and her family are thankful for the support of so many community sponsors that are teaming up to help build the Ross family their new home.
